Formerly Peat. Afterlife Ag is decarbonizing the environment by diverting food waste from landfills and turning them into sustainable, nutritious, and fresh mushrooms. Mycelium is one of the best natural waste decomposers in this world and we have developed a technology that takes food waste to grow two different components of the fungi - the fruiting body (mushrooms) that you eat and the mycelial root structure in a block form. As part of our circular waste model, we get paid to collect food waste from food generators and we sell the freshly grown mushrooms back to the same food generator partners at a lower cost than they would pay usually so everyone can do good and save money. The mycelial block is then turned into fertilizer that we sell to farmers and land owners as a way to replace toil soil and enhance plant yield.
